Dimitri Schuurman is Team Lead User Experts at imec.livinglabs and a Senior Researcher at imec – MICT – Ghent University in Belgium. He holds a PhD in the domain of Living Labs, open innovation, user innovation, and innovation management and has managed over 100 innovation projects.

Living Labs: real-life co-creation and structured business model validation.

All management and academic literature agrees that open innovation is the way forward. However, in practice, a lot of organizations struggle with its practical implementation. In this presentation, Dimitri will introduce Living Labs as a way to structurally involve end-users via co-creation to validate your business model. This involves exploring and experimenting in real-life to increase the value of the user contributions.
