WhatsApp gets a boost, Snapchat takes a hit

Mobile calls are still more common than landline calls among Flemings, and SMS is still the most popular messaging platform. While e-mail is still a popular means of communication among Flemings, it is more and more apparent that it is not the appropriate communication tool to reach the younger generations. The online messaging app WhatsApp has experienced a remarkable boost in daily usage. In contrast, Snapchat has decreased significantly in usage since the launch of Instagram Stories.
