28 January - 02 February 2023 | San Francisco, California, United States
The world’s premier lasers, biomedical optics and biophotonic technologies, quantum, and optoelectronics event
This year at SPIE Photonics West, BiOS and AR/VR/MR, imec has 13 accepted papers, of which 10 first author and 3 co-authored papers, including 3 invited papers. Imec’s contributions include breakthroughs in hyperspectral imaging, integrating imec’s CMOS-based hyperspectral sensors into customized camera solutions to enable new applications in healthcare, agriculture and automotive. Moreover, imec presents a major upgrade of its silicon photonics platform for the development and prototyping at wafer level of cutting edge high-performance optical devices. Other papers report on imec’s progress in its R&D on programmable silicon photonics circuits that can be programmed to suit a specific application. Finally, imec presents how it is leveraging its unique lithography fab to mature nanoimprint lithography and offer partners access to process development and low-volume manufacturing of NIL-printed devices for applications such as augmented reality and genomics.
