Alarm analysis and standardisation of a Yokogawa DCS system

Master projects/internships - Leuven | More than two weeks ago

Making an analysis of the alarms of imec's building control system and making a standard for the future projects.

At imec, we employ a Yokogawa DCS system to oversee the management of all utilities in the building and fabrication rooms. Over time, various individuals have programmed different components of the system, each applying their own alarm philosophies. Consequently, we now seek to establish a unified and comprehensive alarm philosophy that can be implemented across the various systems. Our objective is to analyze the existing alarms thoroughly, determining their necessity and relevance based on the newly defined standard alarm philosophy.

Type of Project: Combination of internship and thesis

Master's degree: Master of Engineering Technology

Master program: Electromechanical engineering
