CNTFET lab researcher for exploratory logic

What you will do

As a member of the Exploratory Device team you will design and build CNT based field-effect devices targeting high performance logic applications. You will work closely with our engineers and researchers to explore the device performance envelop, investigate the impact of CNT density/variability on the electronic properties and device performance in order to develop a solid foundation for CNT-based logic technology.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • To design and fabricate transistors based on multi-CNT channels with CMOS compatibility in mind.
  • To identify and demonstrate paths for device scaling including contact, channel length and gate stack engineering which will lead to improved transistor performance and lower power consumption.
  • To expand electrical characterization capability to better capture CNT variability and quantify its impact.
  • To collaborate with other imec researchers in materials evaluation and CNT variability/defect study to explore and establish mitigation strategies.
Guiding and supervising PhD students and/or post docs

What we do for you

We offer you the opportunity to join one of the world’s premier research centers in nanotechnology at its headquarters in Leuven, Belgium. With your talent, passion and expertise, you’ll become part of a team that makes the impossible possible. Together, we shape the technology that will determine the society of tomorrow.
