Understanding state of the art SWIR image sensor
Thin-film materials are a promising alternative for future imaging applications with advantages of higher absorption coefficient, tunable spectral range up to SWIR while can be monolithically integrated directly on top of the CMOS read-out. Imec has presented smallest pixel pitch SWIR image sensor last year. To further understanding better thin-film based image sensor, more in-depth analysis is needed.
The goal of this internship program is to evaluate developed thin-film based image sensor with new photodetector material to gives better understanding , and to optimize it's operation, explore their limits and potential and identify promising new avenues. Even though focusing will be on testing and evaluation, literature study and actual design work will be also required.
