For this topic, you will develop an application program to display (real-time plotting) image sharpness metrics for Digital and SEM microscopy. The application program should allow to easily visualize when the optimal focus conditions may be attained. This will enable less wearing SEM inspections. The user will look to a graph and based on that improve live imaging window. The final goal of this work is to improve the efficiency for SEM inspections.

What you will do

Imec is one of the world's leading research institutes in micro and nano-electronics. In this internship project, you will have the opportunity to work with semiconductor metrology tools such as a high resolution automated digital microscope and a scanning electrode microscope (SEM).

 

Who you are

•           You are passionate about software development.

•           A bachelor or master student in a relevant field (e.g. Information technology, Computer Science, Computer engineering, Mathematics,...).

•           Motivated student, eager to learn and able to work independently in an organized manner.

•           Knowledge of Python, object-oriented programming and best software development practices (Git, Agile-Scrum,...) is a must, experience with C/C++ a plus.

•           Understanding of mathematical concepts (e.g. Laplacian filter) would be useful.

•           You can inspire other colleagues by conveying your ideas and stories effectively.

•           Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken) is a must, knowledge of the Dutch language is a plus.
