FAB Planning & Scheduling Specialist 

What you will do

We are looking for an experienced Fab Capacity Planning & Scheduling Specialist in order to drive the development, maintenance and operations of the capacity planning and scheduling systems. You will also be responsible for optimizing the usage of the imec fab resources and forecast future capacity needs and bottlenecks. As such, this role requires a thorough understanding of the semiconductor processes, production tools and workflows. 

Your main responsibilities are: 

  • You will develop and maintain a detailed production planning based on demand forecasts, resource availability, and Fab production capacities. If needed, plans will have to be adjusted to address equipment long downtime or other manufacturing disruptions. 
  • You collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Fab engineering, and Fab operations, to align production and capacity plans with the business objectives and KPIs. 
  • You will analyse Fab production and capacity data to determine manufacturing tools/process or human resource bottlenecks and map out future requirements.  
  • You will setup and utilise advanced planning software and tools to simulate production scenarios and optimize schedules. 
  • You prepare and present reports on scheduling and planning activities, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives.

Who you are

  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or a related field. 
  • You have a proven experience in planning and scheduling in the semiconductor or related high-tech manufacturing industry. 
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex datasets and provide actionable insights. 
  • You are proficient in advanced planning and scheduling software. 
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment is highly desirable. 
  • You can work autonomously, take initiative and are capable to plan and organize your own work.  
  • You speak English fluently and have excellent communication and collaboration skills.
