Hyperspectral sensors engineer

 

Imec's Hyperspectral imaging team designs and manufactures state-of-the-art extremely miniaturized spectral sensors for a wide range of industrial, medical and space applications.  As part of this team, you will be responsible for defining, setting up and executing different types of test protocols. Sensors need to be inspected, calibrated and analyzed, before being sent out to the end-users. 

 

  • Main responsibilities
    • Definition of test setups and test improvements
    • Execution of the test protocol
    • Analysis of defect types and labeling according to well-defined quality criteria
    • Perform the design of experiment, to test and validate the calibration setups
    • Reporting the experiments, applying good documentation practices
       
  • Technical competences
    • Python/Matlab
    • SolidWorks or similar
  • Other competences
    • Problem solving mindset
    • Goal oriented
    • ‚ÄčA team player with excellent communication skills and fluent in English

Required degree: Master of Engineering Technology, Master of Science, Master of Engineering Science

Required background: Electromechanical engineering, Electrotechnics/Electrical Engineering, Physics
