Design of temperature stabilization and control of frequency mixer boards required for high performance of a quantum computers

The student will first study the topic of frequency mixing and fundamentals of up-conversion boards using IQ mixers. Based on theoretical understanding of mixers the
student will design mixer calibration procedure with temperature stabilization and software control of arbitrary waveform generators to achieve fast and ‚Äčtime-stable frequency conversion. The outcome of this project will be used to efficiently generate pulses for controling quantum computers.

Prior experience with software development (ideally python) and basic electronics (arduino's, temperature sensors, PID circuits) are highly desirable.
