We are looking for an experienced Lab Technician with a background in assay development, PCR work, clinical trials or similar.

Lab Technician / Assistant (temporary position)

We are looking for an experienced Lab Technician with a background in assay development, PCR work, clinical trials or similar. This position reports to the Clinical lab Lead. You will join the experienced clinical lab team, where you will execute PCR assays on our novel diagnostic solution and on commercial instruments. From the first preparations to the final reporting, you will diligently plan and perform your work and report the results. You will join the collective efforts to improve the experiments and protocols. You will work in close collaboration with the engineering team to improve and debug different prototype versions.

The assignment

  • Plan and prepare for the daily lab work, in the framework of clinicial studies;
  • Perform the PCR experiments and report the results;
  • Implement improvements to protocols and experimental design;
  • Report and highlight issues early.

Required knowledge and skills

  • You have a bachelor or master in biotechnology, biosciences or similar;
  • You have experience with PCR lab experiments or similar;
  • You love lab work and work very precise and diligent;
  • Experience in a R&D setting, working with prototype instruments is a plus;
  • Because of the international environment communication in English is essential.

Duration of the assignment 

  • Minimum of 2 months, extension possible

Desired startdate and work regime

  • As soon as possible
  • Full time, non standard working hours (early/late), occasional weekend work might be required depending on the clinical study
