Process Engineer CD-SEM

What you will do

You will be a member of the Defect and Inspection Process Engineering team. This team is responsible for the standard metrology processes and tools in the cleanroom and follows up processes under evaluation/validation for upscaling. 

As a process engineer you will be responsible for the critical dimension scanning electron microscopes (CD-SEM) in both imec cleanrooms. 
You will:

  • execute CD-SEM inspections & create (advanced) CD-SEM recipes to support our 24/7 CD-SEM service.
  • become a CD-SEM expert, bridging the gap between advanced process step developers and operators in the cleanroom.
  • Ensure the most efficient use of our tools by efficiently matching applications with tools. 
  • follow up on the tool status and proactively flag and solve tools issues or drifts in close collaboration with the tool manufacturer.
  • train and qualify new users coming from various companies and having different experience.
  • lead improvement projects in order to improve our speed of learning, our quality and efficiency.
  • be responsible of the start-up of new CDSEM tools (from installation to full release to the fab).
  • work in a shift system, working in two shifts (Early/Late) including 1weekend (Sa + Su) out of 4, to support the 24h by 7d fab.

Who you are

  • You have a Master degree in Applied Sciences, Material Engineering or Electronics
  • You have interest, or experience, in metrology in a high tech cleanroom
  • Experience with CD-SEM in a production environment is plus
  • You are flexible and able to deal with change or ambiguity
  • You work accurately and have attention to details
  • You can work independently and are proactive
  • You have excellent English communication skills
  • Given the international character of imec, fluency in English is a must.
