Quality Specialist - FAB 

What you will do

You will be working in IMEC’s FAB Engineering department.  

For this role, you will:  

  • Act as single point of contact in the FAB Engineering department for quality and learning. 
  • Able to act a as a guru for anything related to these topics.
  • You push quality improvements through the use and promotion of process quality tools such as automation, predictive maintenance, fault detection. 
  • Maintain an overview and report-out on the status the quality incidents, learning progress .
  • Steer internal resources to keep quality high on the radar.
  • Elicit and document clear and concise requirements based on collaboration with stakeholders, including manufacturing, engineering, and business teams.  
  • Deliver value through improvements or feature augmentation in a value oriented and business agile approach to mitigate solution uncertainty.  
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog to maximize value and ensure timely delivery. 
  • Support in the design of processes and (software) solutions.  
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams, fostering effective communication and understanding.  
  • Build up a network with the business and our QA dept.  
  • Support change management actions (communication, training, go live support).  
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure the delivery of high-quality products. 
  • Monitor and analyze product performance, making data-driven decisions for enhancements.  
  • Work in a cross-functional team that effectively works together towards a solution, bringing in all the expertise needed from all stakeholders: Fab engineering, Fab business, tool suppliers, QA, EHS, infrastructure teams, development partners.  
  • Embrace and promote QA methodologies, participating in different QA routines.

Who you are

  • You already have several years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a production environment, preferably (semiconductor) production / manufacturing system implementations. Your background allows you to quickly familiarize yourself with this business and QA processes.  
  • You have experience with QA and learning methods 
  • You are familiar with the concepts of 8D  
  • You can work independently and in team. With your no-nonsense attitude, you coordinate with the team to get the job done.  
  • Your strong analytic and problem-solving skills enable you to interpret customer requirements and issues.  
  • You have strong communication skills, allowing you to build good relationships with stakeholders from different imec business units and partners.  
  • You are persistent and take initiative when needed.  
  • You have fluent knowledge of English.  
  • You feel comfortable in a complex and demanding environment.
