Currently we are looking for an R&D Manager for the Signal Processing group at our High Tech Campus office in Eindhoven.
What you will do
In this position you manage the Signal Processing team of about 10 -and growing to 15- experts. Together you design innovative algorithms that bring our wireless systems and RF sensors to unprecedented performance levels at a record low power consumption. The Signal Processing team closely collaborates with the IC design team on systems like ultra-wideband communication, low power radar, dielectric sensing and neuromorphic design, as well as with our AI experts. The team translates system level requirements on applications like smart building or autonomous systems into component level specifications.
We drive the Internet of Things (IoT) by developing innovative solutions and functionalities for massive, heterogeneous sensor networks to connect billions of devices together. Imec is a reference in the design of ultra-low power electronics, low-power algorithms to increase intelligence and data security, and in all aspects of data science. In this position you report to the Program Director IOT.

You have a solid background in Signal Processing development. With your expertise you can coach, guide, manage and inspire a team with a mixed experience level. Together with the team you can build a vision in this field and execute accordingly. You have strong interpersonal skills which allow you to be successful in an international high-tech environment. You like to engage with both internal and external stakeholders and you do this with a certain flair and attitude. You have a passion for innovations, and you enjoy to have a task in the projects as well. Furthermore, your expertise and management skills are essential to successfully take up this role. You communicate effectively in English, where Dutch language skills are a big plus. You can translate your vision into tangible results.
