Semiconductor Fab Pilot Line Manager
What you will do
- You are the central figure overseeing Fab Pilot Line operations and coordinating between Fab Process, Hardware and Integration Engineering teams.
- You connect strongly with the Hardware and Engineering operational teams to minimize the impact of issues that are typical for the operational department of a research facility.
- Using your knowledge of the Fab, you control the pilot lines and steer actions that allow lots to move through the Fab as fast/efficient as possible. You make sure high priority lots get proper attention and you notify the appropriate people when action is required.
- In case of issues of the pilot lines, you make a correct analysis and you determine action plans for addressing/mitigating the problem thanks to your sense of urgency and adequate communication skills, you report accordingly to the customers.
- You actively participate in projects that drive quality and operational excellence improvements.
- You focus on Fab throughput and reducing cycle times.
- You drive our Fabs forward by efficiently and creatively facilitating collaboration cross-unit between the operation teams, integration engineers, process & equipment engineers, scientists and customers.
- You will start with a period of training in IC processing and related Process and Measurement techniques. You will learn in detail how the imec Fabs operate. Then you will start your job, with proper support.
- Occasional weekend work will be required to ensure continuous service of our FAB.

Who you are
- You have a master’s degree in engineering, exact sciences, or equal by experience.
- You bring 5 years or more of experience in a complex manufacturing environment, characterized by demanding processes, high product mix, delicate materials and reentrant process flows.
- Prior experience in or knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing is a strong asset, preferably in a 300 mm Fab.
- You have strong communication skills. You can make people interested in what you have to offer, as well as being an engaged listener yourself to catch good suggestions.
- You have a pro-active approach and are solution oriented. You cannot wait to roll up your sleeves and dive right into the action.
- You can work autonomously, take initiative and are capable to plan and organize your own work.
- Since you will be working in a highly international environment and will be maintaining a good contact with colleagues and co-workers from all over the world, fluency in English is essential.
