Currently we are looking for a motivated Senior nano- material Researcher.​

The job

Within the UPM (unit process module) department, you will work in the R&D group who focus on the development of novel nano-materials for beyond CMOS applications. You will work on novel device concepts with exploratory nanomaterials, such as graphene, TMDCs and others for opto-electrical applications.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Develop integration schemes for the study of the material properties in the lab; 
  • Design structures for optical and e-beam lithography to screen novel device concepts;
  • Develop standardized flows for screening of the materials in imec’ s lab infrastructure;
  • Collaborate with other researchers and process assistants to align with the material growers and the device experts to improve the integration space and understand the device or system requirements;
  • Use the characterization infrastructure to tune the device fabrication with respect to optical and electrical performance.


You

 We are looking for a colleague with a PhD degree in material science/physics or equivalent and a few years of additional working experience. in a state of the art lab environment. We are looking for your background in nanofabrication and characterization of (opto)-electronic devices. On top of that, your experience in fields of 2D materials, e-beam lithography engineering and dry etching will be valued. Your successful collaboration with colleagues and other team proofs that you are a great  team player, but when needed you can  work independently as well. Because you will be part of an international working environment, a good level of English is essential.
