Currently we are looking for a motivated Strategic Partnership and Business Development Sr. Manager for automotive and semiconductor industries.

The job:

As a Strategic Partnership Sr Manager, you will be part of imec’s US Sales and Business Development team, responsible for establishing and expanding strategic relationships within the automotive and semiconductor industries across the value chain. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Establish and grow revenue with existing and new R&D partners to achieve imec’s business objectives.
  • Manage partner relationship; identify key decision-makers, build and maintain strong relationships across all levels, assess partner satisfaction and value perception
  • Develop negotiation plans and close complex agreements in collaboration with internal business teams.
  • Grow imec Automotive Sector revenue including Automotive Chiplet Program, Sensor Technology and Power electronics development projects in collaboration with internal business and technical teams
  • Expand imec’s footprint in the North America for automotive and semiconductor related industries across the value chain

·       Implement and deploy account strategy: understand partner strategy and its implications for imec, market dynamics, technology roadmap and competitors, grow revenue by identifying and pursuing new opportunities

  • Manage CRM: prepare meeting plans, record meeting minutes, update the sales funnel
  • Evaluate opportunities and present recommendations to management and business teams
  • Gather market information and trends and keep the organization updated on competition
  • Support marketing efforts by coordinating and attending customer meetings, participating in conferences, and engaging with industry networking groups.
  • This is a remote or hybrid role working from your US based home office or our San Jose office engaging with imec teams in Europe and the US.

About You:

  • You hold a degree in material science, electronics, engineering or equivalent degree combined with strong interest in semiconductor technology.
  • You are self-motivated, pro-active, and take initiatives to engage with key stakeholder at the executive level and relevant companies.
  • You possess distinctive problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with strong business judgment.
  • You have excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication and networking skills
  • You have exceptional listening skills, and a proven track record building personal customer relationship based on mutual trust and respect
  • You are comfortable and flexible working with international teams, including managing early-morning conference calls with Europe.
  • You are willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time. 
  • You have 10+ years in business and partnership development in research and/or system development in the semiconductor, or automotive sectors (chiplet, ADAS, radar, lidar, sensor fusion and power electronics), with a strong network in automotive and semiconductor sectors.
  • You are eligible to work in the US.
