Imec is developing next-generation high-frequency integrated circuits for wireless communication systems, highly integrated mm-wave radars, and non-traditional computation and processing systems. We are looking for a senior IC designer to work on the next generation of integrated circuits in advanced CMOS, superconducting, SiGe, and III-V technologies.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Work with fabrication process specialists to define materials and process requirements.
  • Design schematic and layout of building blocks such as resonators, logic gates, custom memory, RF circuits.
  • Provide all the deliverables in time to meet the tape-out deadlines.
  • Validate your own designs experimentally in a lab environment.
  • Document ideas, design details, and measurement results.
  • Participate in design reviews and brainstorming sessions.
  • Read journal papers, attend conferences, and submit your research work for peer-reviewed publications.

Key Qualifications:

  • Strong background in material science, solid state physics.
  • Strong background in analog, superconducting, RF, and mm-wave IC design.
  • Proficient in mm-wave IC design tools such as Cadence, ADS, HFSS, MATLAB.
  • Understanding and experience in IC design for non-traditional computing platforms is a plus.
  • Experience performing mm-wave measurements in the lab.
  • Good publication record demonstrating research experience.
