For more than 25 years, imec’s IC-link unit has been offering a prototype and production service to worldwide companies. Imec IC-link helps its customers to design their integrated circuits (chips) and bring them from the prototype to the production stage. Imec provides specialized technical advice and services on design, assembly and test. For the further extension of these imec services, we are looking for a highly motivated engineer. Imec IC-link has an extensive industrial experience, contacts with leading industrial foundries, and long-standing relationships with all the main EDA tool vendors and IP providers. This unit supports worldwide customers in the layout, prototype, fabrication and test of advanced electronic products. You will become a member of the Design Services group in imec IC-link. You will work in a team of other back-end design engineers and will have a full understanding of the complete Cadence Innovus Place&Route flow.
Your main tasks will be:
- Set up low power design (CPF) and floor planning & power grid design
- Detailed Timing Driven Placement, STA & possible design optimization for setup
- Clock Tree Synthesis and scan chain re-stitching
- Detailed Timing Driven Route (incl. SI)
- IPO’s (in-place optimization) to get the timing in all corners correct
- Solve setup & hold violations
- Sign-off extraction (SPEF), timing (TEMPUS) and Power analysis (VOLTUS)
- Physical verification (DRC, ERC,LVS,ANT) and logic equivalent check
- Gives courses at imec about Physical Digital implementation Flow
You have a Master Degree in Electronics and at least 5 years of relevant experience. You have experience with CPF (low power design) and with the full Cadence Innovus Place&Route flow. You have excellent communication skills (English is a must) and can work within an international team. You like to interact with customers. Experience in Front-End is a plus.
