Personnel & Payroll Specialist

Currently we are looking for a motivated Personnel & Payroll Specialist.
In a role of Personnel and Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the monthly payroll processing & personnel administration for an assigned group of employees (incl. non-residents and shift employees), in compliance with applicable legislation and internal procedures. In order to contribute to the realization of the imec HR goals you will develop, advice on and implement the policies relating to the personnel and payroll matters and you will help to make the strategic decisions on the payroll provider(s)/systems and related processes and procedures.
In this role, your main tasks are:
- answer the personnel and payroll related queries, support the employee claims and share your expertise with other colleagues,
be the focal contact for personal and payroll matters during audits,
- review & develop your own work processes in the view of the continuous improvement and document them appropriately so that the information is easily retrievable and up-to date,
- lead/participate in ad-hoc projects (e.g. data transfer to the new HRIS system),
- be a dedicated “absence” and shift regulations advisor in terms of best practices, benchmarking, legal and payroll aspects and advise on career break, thematic and educational leave legislation and modalities,
- act as back-up for other Personnel & Payroll colleagues.
You are enthusiastic and reliable and you place the employees in the center of your work. You are able to critically review own processes and coach others to implement the best practices and most efficient solutions. You have at least five years of personnel and payroll administration experience, including shift and non-resident employees as well as the international payroll. Familiarity with SAP is required and any other payroll provider or system acquaintance is an additional asset. In the near future, we are planning to change our HRIS tool and as such, a previous experience in a similar large scale project is a must. Experience in a payroll administration agency (sociaal secretariaat) and/or tax consulting firm is a plus.
You are perfectly bilingual English & Dutch, any other language is appreciated.
