Job Description

You will be a member of the Litho Process Development team, who is responsible for developing the lithography processes requested by the process integration departments running imec’s CORE programs. You will be responsible for analyzing and discussing the litho process requests with the integration engineers. Based on this you will design and execute the experimental plan in the cleanroom, and analyze and interpret the experimental results. You are expected to deliver high quality litho processes, including process window characterization, screening of alternative process options, metrology optimization to assure process reproducibility, .... Finally, you will document and transfer the litho processes to the imec pilot production line and provide representative training to the process support engineers. The process development progress will need to be reported internally at Advanced Patterning meetings and in meetings with the customer (internal and external).


You have a PhD or Master degree in Chemistry, Physics or Electronics Engineering, and have at least 2 years of experience with lithography process development. You are well organized and eager to learn. You work within time limits and you take initiative. You have experience in working in cross functional teams. Since the job involves intensive collaboration with integration and support engineers, you are an excellent communicator with good reporting skills. The day-to-day contact with people from all over the world makes fluency in English a necessity.
