Topics you will be working on include our smart highway testbed, an innovative health platform, 5G networks in a smart city and autonomously operating network operation software.

What you will do

  • You will help design and implement simulation tools to support the team’s researchers.
  • You will develop software for prototypes and demonstrators in the context of industry-driven research projects. You will work with IoT protocol stacks (e.g., OpenWSN), big data tools (e.g. Grafana, Spark), Python tools (Numpy, pandas, matplotlib, scikit-learn), and embedded microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino).
  • You will participate in national and European research projects (mostly in collaboration with industry). Some example projects our team is currently working on include Smart Highway and City of Things.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering, Informatics or equivalent.
  • Good programming skills, with at least basic experience in C / C++.
  • Excellent skills in Python and web development.
  • You are not afraid to learn new tools.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience in project management is a plus.
  • Experience with Internet of Things development or AI tools (TensorFlow of Pytorch) is a plus.

What we do for you

  • Starting date: between March and May 2019
  • Type of contract: full time (100%)
  • Employment: temporary assignment for 12 months with possible extension based on performance and availability of funding
