The San Francisco Bay area, one of the world’s most innovative regions, was the perfect place for imec to set up an exploratory research center. In close cooperation with imec Leuven, our researchers at Berkeley dive into mid- to long-term outcomes of technological evolutions. The focus in Berkeley is on the codesigning of systems and technologies to enable the next generation of smart devices, novel architecture for machine learning and artificial intelligence.
