Since 2005, imec has had a growing presence in the Netherlands. Today, imec the Netherlands brings together a multidisciplinary team across four locations, working closely with universities, research institutions, governments, industry and investors to turn chip-based technology into solutions for an economically strong, sustainable and healthy future.
In Eindhoven, imec works together with TNO through Holst Centre, an independent open-innovation R&D center developing technologies such as integrated photonics, wireless technology, AI & data and quantum technology, with applications in health, automotive and hightech industry.
In Wageningen and Nijmegen, imec collaborates with Wageningen University & Research, Radboud University and Radboudumc through OnePlanet Research Center, a multidisciplinary collaboration developing chip-based applications that address societal challenges, particularly in healthcare, agriculture and the environment.
