- From datacenter to edge AI: Open Chiplet Ecosystems Will Drive New Use Cases and Opportunities
- Artificial intelligence is reshaping computing. While today's AI boom is driven by hyperscalers and datacenters, the next wave will be Physical AI: autonomous vehicles, robotics, industrial automation, and intelligent edge systems. These applications demand next level computing performance, but also strict power and cost constraints. Chiplet-based architectures offer a scalable path forward, creating opportunities for advanced packaging, and specialized semiconductor innovators. Realizing this opportunity will require open ecosystems that reshape the roles across the semiconductor value chain. This presentation will discuss the role of chiplets, and imec's role in ecosystem and platform development.
