To explore the platform’s current capabilities and upcoming innovations such as hybridized silicon photonics with new materials, join imec portfolio manager Leili Shiramin for a 1-hour webinar on June 24.

During this webinar, Leili Shiramin will present the platform’s current capabilities, revealing how imec was able to address challenges such as improving device performance and addressing failure mechanisms.

You will also find out about recent results and a preview of new elements in the roadmap to further improve bandwidth density and energy efficiency, such as hybridized silicon photonics that includes new materials such as lithium niobate (LiNbO3) and III-V.

About the presenter

Leili Shiramin received her Ph.D. degree from the Photonics Research Group at Ghent University-imec, Belgium, in 2017. Her doctoral work focused on the design, fabrication and characterization of silicon photonics and silicon nitride photonics devices. After several years of industrial experience in both technical and managerial roles in the photonics and RF domains, she joined imec in early 2022. She is currently portfolio manager, focusing on imec’s photonics technologies.
