This presentation will focus on imec’s photonics technologies and that includes silicon photonics, silicon nitride photonics and hybridization of these platforms. We will also discuss development challenges and solutions, current capabilities, as well as our roadmaps for applications such as short reach optical interconnects, sensing and quantum computing.

About the presenter

Leili Shiramin received her Ph.D. degree from the Photonics Research Group at Ghent University-imec, Belgium, in 2017. Her doctoral work focused on the design, fabrication and characterization of silicon photonics and silicon nitride photonics devices. After several years of industrial experience in both technical and managerial roles in the photonics and RF domains, she joined imec in early 2022. She is currently portfolio manager, focusing on imec’s photonics technologies.
