Interuniversitair Micro-Electronica Centrum vzw (hereinafter ‘IMEC’), Kapeldreef 75, 3001 LEUVEN , is responsible for the processing of your personal data.
This document contains information about how your personal data will be processed by IMEC to provide you with certain services, such as whitepapers, events, webinars, etc. IMEC values your privacy and processes your personal information in accordance with the GDPR and local privacy legislation.
What data do we collect?
We collect following personal data about you:
- First name
- Last name
- Job title
- Company address
- What industry are you working in?
- What are your interests?
Purpose of collecting your personal data
Depending on your preferences, we may use your personal data for following purposes:
- To send you the whitepaper you requested and if necessary, to contact you about this whitepaper.
- To register you for the webinar you requested and if necessary, to contact you in relation to this webinar.
- When you have consented to this, IMEC may also send you communications about other IMEC breakthroughs and developments, events, whitepapers, webinars, etc.
To be able to contact you about abovementioned topics, we need to collect and process your personal data. When you agree to the terms of this privacy notice, you agree that IMEC may process your personal data in accordance with this privacy notice. All personal data will only be used for above mentioned purposes.
Who will have access to your personal data?
To manage its data, IMEC works with Eloqua, a CRM database from Oracle. Oracle will only require access to the data in the database when this is absolutely necessary to provide their support services. Oracle will act as a processor of IMEC and the necessary contracts are in place.
Some of these parties receiving your personal data can be located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), such as in the United States. However, IMEC will ensure that your data has proper protection at all times and hence it will only be sent to countries or corporations that are able to guarantee equivalent protection (for example, Oracle has binding corporate rules in place).
IMEC processes your personal information to provide you with the services as mentioned above. Without your personal information, IMEC is not able to provide you with these services. For this, IMEC relies on legitimate interest for these processing activities.
When you have chosen to receive marketing communications, we process this information on the legal basis consent. You always have the right to retract your consent. You may do so very simply by clicking the link in the email we send you, which will direct you to the preference center, where you can adjust your preferences and the subjects about which you would like to receive communication. You can also contact us at email@example.com, after which we will process your cancellation as quickly as possible.
You also have the right to restriction of processing, right to data portability and right to object. You have the right at all times to access your Personal Data. You can also ask us to amend any data that is incorrect or request us to delete all of your data. You can do this simply by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org where you can also ask us to delete your data from our records.
When making a request, please attach a copy of your identity card so that we can be sure we do not delete and/or amend any data inadvertently without you wanting us to do so.
Your personal data will be stored for 4 years after last registered activity (such as open mail, request documentation, etc.).
