What you will do

As ASIC NPI (New Product Introduction) Project Manager within DSRD, you are managing, directing and executing major ASIC product development projects. You are responsible for the New Product Introduction, project management including planning and taking care of all the required deliverables, working closely with several service domains (Design, Manufacturing, Substrate design, assembly, Test ...).

You are the main contact person to the customer during the engineering life-time of the project. More in detail responsibilities are: 

  • The definition, budget, quality and overall planning of the work packages of the different project stages, working closely with QA department 
  • The full project management across the different service domains, relying on different types of engineers required within the different project phases 
  • The overall coordination: 
    • The follow-up of the design and tape-out activities, together with the tape-out engineers 
    • Definition of the package for the assembly of the Asic with the assembly engineers 
    • Definition of the test solution together with the test engineers 
    • Setting up the electrical and radiation ASIC test solution (dependent on the project) with external test houses 
  • Production release for volume production 
  • Proposing cost improvement plans such as yield improvement plans, multi-site test solution and different packaging options together with the customer and the assembly house 
  • Following up the budget of the projects 
  • Working according to the applicable procedures

Who you are

  • You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering (preferably Electronics) and have experience in ASIC or semiconductor product development environments.  
  • You bring strong project management expertise, with a track record of managing complex, multidisciplinary NPI projects from design to production.  
  • You have a solid understanding of the ASIC development flow, including design, tape-out, packaging, assembly, and test.  
  • You are a structured and results-driven professional, balancing scope, timing, cost, and quality across multiple stakeholders.  
  • You thrive in cross-functional environments and can effectively coordinate diverse teams (design, manufacturing, test, external partners).  
  • You are customer-oriented and confident acting as the main interface, building strong relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.  
  • You are proactive and solution-focused, able to anticipate risks and drive continuous improvements such as yield optimization and cost reduction.  
  • You have strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage budgets and complex planning.  
  • You communicate fluently in English and are comfortable working in an international environment.
