As Equipment Integration Functional Analyst, you translate business requirements into software specifications for development of automation components controlling advanced semiconductor equipment units.

Equipment Integration Functional Analyst

What you will do

IMEC performs world-leading research in nano-electronics, operating a diverse equipment set of most advanced semiconductor wafer processing models. To improve and further roll out our CIM application landscape, we have started the Smart Fab initiative in 2024. Smart Fab is not only about simplification of manual work, it also will deliver more insight into capacity utilization, as well as product quality. You will become part of this journey in a growing team, providing opportunities in an exciting environment.
  • As a member of our Smart Fab team, you will closely work with business analysts and software developers for our equipment integration solution. You will be supported by dedicated test engineers.
  • You will receive industry specific training and can rely on experienced teammates.
  • You perform the crucial task of analyzing how our equipment integration software platform can implement business requirements. The specifications to be passed on to internal and more often external developers can range from straightforward configuration to additional logic to be defined.
  • Some business requirements will result in equipment integration being dependent on related configuration or even features to be implemented in adjacent applications, especially the MES. You thus will gain sufficient knowledge about adjacent CIM applications to effectively collaborate with their business analysts and functional analysts.
  • You have an active role in test preparation and debugging. You will be supported by our PMO team during all phases of the software lifecycle.
