What you will do

Imec is a world-leading research and innovation hub in nanoelectronics and digital technologies. Our goal is to support the semiconductor ecosystem through targeted learning and development activities, enhancing the semiconductor capabilities.
As a Learning & Development Architect, you will be part of the Corporate Technical Office, reporting to the Technical Workforce Development program manager and working in close collaboration with scientific subject matter experts from the R&D departments.
In this role, your key responsibilities will be: 
  • Design and develop innovative, scalable and modular training programs and materials for imec’s professional training offering to the semiconductor ecosystem stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and create training content that is relevant, didactive and impactful.
  • Initiate and facilitate design & co-creation workshops as needed.
  • Utilize various training methods, including e-learning, workshops, and on-the-job training.
  • Monitor and report on L&D project metrics, milestones, progress and outcomes to internal stakeholders.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Help in conducting needs assessments to identify skill gaps, L&D requirements, L&D opportunities.
  • Coach the imec.academy support team in implementing and adopting the new training programs into the imec training offering.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in learning and development.

Who you are

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Learning & Development Architect to design, develop, and implement comprehensive training programs that enhance the skills and capabilities regarding semiconductor industry, processes, technologies and science. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning, an impact-driven mindset, and the ability to design and create engaging and effective training solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor/Master's degree in Education, or a related field. Strong affinity with science and technology.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs, preferably in a technical or scientific context. 
  • Strong knowledge of professional learning principles and instructional design.
  • Proficiency in scalable and modular learning formats, e-learning platforms and tools.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex technical information and translate it into effective and didactive training materials.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and scientific experts.
  • Excellent project management, coordination, communication and coaching skills
  • Strong result-oriented organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. 
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch is beneficial.
