Logic CMOS device Program Manager
What you will do
As Logic CMOS Device Program Manager, you will lead and coordinate imec’s Logic CMOS Device program(s), focusing on advanced CMOS device architectures (e.g. GAA, CFET and beyond) and their integration into future logic technology nodes. You will ensure that device innovation is translated into structured, executable R&D programs aligned with imec’s logic roadmap and industrial partner expectations, with strong compatibility to 300 mm CMOS FAB environments. You will bridge strategy, execution, and stakeholder alignment across multiple device centric R&D projects, from concept maturation to handover into downstream technology and integration programs.
As a Program Manager, you will:
- Coordinate the intake, evaluation, and prioritization of new exploratory projects in alignment with the program strategy and imec’s broader R&D roadmap.
- Lead the execution of multiple R&D projects, from concept definition through validation and handover to downstream technology programs.
- Define and manage Mid-Level-Plans, projects roadmaps, schedules, and resource planning in close collaboration with domain experts, resource managers, and FAB operations.
- Provide operational leadership to multidisciplinary project teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, and a high-performance culture.
- Monitor project performance, resources, and key milestones, ensuring adherence to agreed scope, timing, and priorities.
- Proactively manage risks, drive corrective actions, accelerate critical paths when required, and escalate major issues within the organization.
- Ensure clear, structured communication with internal stakeholders, senior management, and—where applicable—industrial partners, including reporting on progress and results.
- Support the strategic evolution of the program by leading the implementation of changes across projects to deliver distinct and measurable benefits.
- Actively contribute to Project Management Office (PMO) initiatives and continuous improvement of project execution practices, quality, and speed.

Who you are
- You hold a PhD or MSc in microelectronics, electrical engineering, physics, applied physics, materials science, or a closely related field.
- You bring several years of experience in the semiconductor industry (5+ years with a PhD or 8+ years with an MSc), preferably in logic CMOS device engineering or process integration within a 300 mm R&D or pilot‑line environment.
- Experience with advanced logic device technologies such as GAA, forksheet, CFET, or related architectures is a strong advantage. Exposure to process integration and/or device characterization and evaluation is considered a plus.
- Prior experience as an R&D project or program manager—or leading complex technical projects—is a strong asset.
- You are comfortable working in exploratory and high‑uncertainty R&D environments, and able to translate early‑stage ideas into structured, executable plans.
- You combine strong organizational and coordination skills with a hands‑on, proactive mindset.
