What you will do

IC-Link by Imec project architect team is looking for a technical customer engagement expert to support business development activities. In this role, you will oversee multiple
customer ASIC/SoC projects and provide manufacturing solutions for package, test and qualification related activities. A relevant technical background is essential.

  • As a project architect you are accountable for delivering your projects to the business development manager: define the scope, timeline, costs and risks to win customer projects while maximizing value creation.
  • Your goal will be to demonstrate IC-Link expertise in packaging, production testing, qualification and supply chain management services.
  • You are responsible for the technical response to customer questions in the pre sales phase. Your work includes collaboration with the customer and within the internal team and across functions. You represent your cluster of projects to key stakeholders and work closely with design managers/directors to ensure alignment with broader organizational goals. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential in this role.
  • You stay informed about industry trends and IC-Link by imec's positioning in ASIC Manufacturing services. You are dedicated to continuously improving both the quality and speed of our innovation. You contribute fresh ideas and support their implementation.

Who you are

  • You hold a MSc or BSc in microelectronics, electrical engineering, physics, applied
    physics, or equivalent.
  • You have 10+ years of working experience in the ASIC post silicon manufacturing
    domain - Package, Test and Qualification. You have established and demonstrable
    knowledge in technical aspects of package design - substrate and assembly, Test -
    wafer sort and final test, and Qualification standards - JEDEC including automotive
    and space. You are familiar with the commercial aspects of design development, NPI
    and production pricing models. You are familiar with financial calculations.
  • You have extensive knowledge in mainstream packages (FCBGA, WLCSP, QFN,
    QFP) and advanced package technologies (2.5D – CoWoS, 3D - WOW, COW)
  • You have solid knowledge in Production Test and Qualification flows
  • You have knowledge and experience of working with OSATs in a global environment
  • You have experience in creating statement of work with diligence on the technical
    deliverables and commercial aspects
  • You have experience in project management, leading and following up on projects
    with multiple stakeholders in a structured and methodological way. You enjoy
    supporting teams in reaching their objectives.
  • You have a strong drive and operational acumen, along with solid organizational
    skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
  • You are an enthusiastic team player with excellent written and verbal
    communication skills and are fluent in English. You are diplomatic and able to easily
    interact with customers, management, researchers, and administrative staff.
  • You have a positive mindset and an “always improving” mentality.
  • You are willing to work in a dynamic, collaborative and multicultural environment.
