Software Developer - Manufacturing Execution Systems 

What you will do

You will be working in IMEC’s ICT department in the team for Manufacturing Software Solutions. 

  • You will design, develop, and maintain software applications that support the semiconductor manufacturing processes, ensuring high performance and reliability. 
  • You will apply best practices in object-oriented programming and software development. 
  • You will optimize database interactions using relational database concepts and SQL. 
  • You will participate in code reviews and implement software testing methodologies to ensure software quality and reliability. 
  • You will work in an Agile development environment, delivering solutions iteratively through sprints. 
  • You will contribute to the continuous improvement of software tools and development processes.

Who you are

  • You already have 4+ years of experience in software development with C#/.NET. 
  • You have excellent knowledge of object-oriented programming
  • You have strong problem-solving and analytical skills to tackle complex software challenges. 
  • You are familiar with relational database concepts and SQL for effective data management. 
  • You have knowledge of web technologies and frameworks (preferably JavaScript/TypeScript and Angular). 
  • You have experience with Docker and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes). 
  • You can work independently and in a team, ensuring high-quality software delivery. 
  • You have strong communication skills, allowing you to interact effectively with internal stakeholders. 
  • You feel comfortable in a complex and demanding environment

Nice to have 

  • Experience with unit testing frameworks to ensure software quality. 
  • Familiarity with MES software and Industry 4.0 concepts. 
  • Participation in medium to large projects using Agile methodologies.
