Sustainability Assessment on Mobile Phone Manufacturing

Master projects/internships - Leuven | More than two weeks ago

Explore the environmental impact by the manufacture of mobile phones

While concerted efforts have been made to promote greener Consumer Electronics manufacturing, achieving sustainable practices necessitates a comprehensive understanding of the environmental impacts associated with semiconductor fabrication and their packaging processes. With this topic, a life cycle analysis of mobile phone manufacture will be studied based on bottom-up modeling of a IC fabrication plant and assembly plants. This holistic approach can provide granular results, enables sensitivity analysis, and highlights high-impact processes that could be improved to reduce environmental footprints in existing technologies.
