Autonomous Edge Chiplet Forum – Fall 2026

November 12 - 13, 2026 | Tokyo, Japan

Where autonomous chiplet ecosystems converge

AECF Japan: where autonomous chiplet ecosystems converge

This autumn, after building momentum across previous Automotive Chiplet Forum editions in Europe and the United States, imec’s Autonomous Edge Chiplet Forum, travels to Japan, bringing together key players from across the global and Japanese automotive, and semiconductor ecosystem.

Hosted by imec and supported by leading Japanese industry organizations ASRA and RISE‑A, bringing together OEMs, Tier‑1 suppliers, semiconductor companies and research partners, AECF Japan translates this alignment into a focused forum for exchange and collaboration around the future of chiplet‑based autonomous edge platforms.

Learn more about how industry evolved towards Autonomous-Edge Chiplet Program here.

Who Should Attend?

  • Automotive OEMs and Tier 1 & 2 suppliers

  • Companies in adjacent autonomous edge markets

  • Semiconductor companies

  • IDMs, foundries and OSATs

  • EDA, simulation and software companies

  • IP providers

  • Academic researchers and consortium members

Why join?

Japan has long been a driving force in automotive innovation, supported by initiatives such as ASRA, a Japanese collaborative innovation partnership (CIP) focused on next-generation automotive SoCs and chiplet technologies, and RISE‑A, a cross‑industry ecosystem accelerating semiconductor innovation and collaboration. At the same time, imec has been taking the lead in multiple initiatives on chiplets, including the  Autonomous Edge Chiplet Program (AECP).

AECF Japan is the intersection of these forces—creating a unique opportunity to connect regional and global stakeholders to advance autonomous edge applications.

What to expect?

The two-day program combines strategic discussions, technical updates, and extensive networking opportunities, including

  • Strategic dialogue across the Japanese and global automotive & semiconductor ecosystems
  • Insights from invited speakers representing OEMs, Tier‑1s, semiconductor partners and AECP members
  • An update from imec on AECP results, milestones and future directions
  • Opportunities to connect with representatives from ASRA, JAMA, RISE‑A, and the broader Japanese ecosystem

Extend your stay: ITF Japan

AECF Japan takes place just days before ITF Japan, imec’s flagship semiconductor innovation forum. Bringing together hundreds of leaders from industry, academia and government in Tokyo on November 16, 2026, ITF Japan offers a broader strategic perspective on the future of semiconductor innovation. We highly recommend combining both events to make the most of your visit. https://www.imecitf.com/japan
