Experimental Validation for Droplet-based Simulation results

The student will be responsible to the experimental phase of two ongoing research projects, gathering data to complement simulation activities. The goal is to integrate experimental results with simulation data to support publication in peer-reviewed journals.

Focus: Demonstrate different forms of droplet manipulation using chips fabricated at imec, using two different principles: DEP and EWOD and compare the performances obtained. This internship offers hands-on experience in microfluidic device testing, chip preparation, and data analysis, with the opportunity to contribute to high-impact publications.

Required skills: Experience in wet lab, interest in microfluidics and the integration of both experimental and theoretical work.

Type of Project: Internship

Master's degree:  Master of Engineering Technology; Master of Science; Master of Engineering Science; Master of Bioengineering

Duration:  6 months
