As Equipment Integration Software Engineer, you develop automation software components to communicate with advanced semiconductor equipment and other CIM applications.

Equipment Integration Software Engineer 

What you will do 

  • As a member of our Smart Fab team, you will closely work with developers of the same and adjacent software applications, Functional Analysts, and Business Analysts, to deliver a modern CIM application landscape. 
  • Your primary contact will be the developer team lead, responsible for establishing our in-house development capability for the commercially sourced Equipment Integration platform, and we will assign an additional mentor during your onboarding. 
  • You will follow Fab Operations to understand the different levels of automation currently implemented in our cleanrooms. 
  • Your initial tasks will be configuration of existing equipment controller software modules, followed by developing clones of software modules for the same equipment type. 
  • As we insource more functionality of the commercially sourced Equipment Integration platform, you will start developing equipment controller software modules for new equipment types. You will also be involved in developing custom solutions interfacing with the commercial platform. 
  • You will participate in equipment model testing, both with software emulators as well as physical connection to the equipment hardware.

Who you are 

  • You bring 5 years or more of experience in software development, specifically related to hardware automation, and performing Java OOP. 
  • Prior experience in, or knowledge of, semiconductor manufacturing is a strong asset, preferably in a 300 mm Fab. 
  • You understand concepts like the automation pyramid and equipment state engines, as well as standards like OPC or SECS. 
  • You can work independently and in a team. You do work diligently and are persistent. 
  • Prior experience in a cooperative setup, original software supplier's engineers sharing the workload with in-house developers, as well as onsite-remote hybrid collaboration, is highly desired. 
  • You feel comfortable in a complex and demanding environment. 
  • Since you will be working in a highly international environment and will be maintaining a good contact with colleagues and co-workers from all over the world, fluency in English is essential.
