Inspection R&D Engineer  

What you will do

You will be part of the Metrology and Inspection (M&I) group within the Ångstrom Patterning department.  

As a senior inspection engineer, you will: 

• Be part of a cross functional team aiming to support definition and execution of a joint development program for a leading M&I tool vendor. 
• Be responsible for technical execution of the work defined in the joint development program in close collaboration with the tool vendor. 
• Create and develop recipes on a state-of-the-art inspection tool on advanced processes. 
• Work in close collaboration with a major material supplier to develop and assess multiple processes performance. 
• Be creative and explore novel inspection techniques or methodologies. 
• Investigate the limits of the techniques you work with through fundamental understanding by literature search, simulations, physical modeling etc... 
• Report your work internally and externally (project reviews, workshops, conferences, or journal papers).

Who you are

• You have a PhD in Applied Sciences, Material Engineering or Electronics  
• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience working on advanced optical inspection tools and ebeam review systems (mandatory) 
• You are proactive, positive, hands-on with willingness to learn. 
• You have interest and experience in inspection in a high tech cleanroom. 
• You are able to work in complex environments with various partners and customers. 
• You are flexible and able to deal with change or ambiguity. 
• You work accurately and have attention to details. 
• You have excellent English communication skills. 
• You have excellent presentation skills.
