Senior Analog ASIC Design Architect
Imec USA
What You Will Do
Deployment of chiplets for use in automotives are widely seen as a pathway to improve overall performance and reliability. Currently, the chiplet technologies and designs that exist today are insufficient to meet the stringent needs of the automotive industry. To realize their potential, chiplets must be designed, fabricated, validated and qualified for the device mission profile for which they are intended. This would also require selection and development of the target packaging and interconnect technology to support the integration and implementation of chiplets into automotives. To address these issues, a series of test devices for qualifying advanced packaging technology and the suitability of interconnect technologies to pass automotive quality requirements is needed. To accomplish this, imec has partnered with faculty at the University of Michigan to design, validate, and select the most appropriate ADC architecture that can be utilized on the road to chiplet adoption in the automotive industry.
Imec is seeking a highly skilled Senior Analog ASIC Design Architect to design and develop cutting-edge analog/mixed-signal circuits for an automotive package test device. This role will be located in Ann Arbor, MI, near the University of Michigan campus, as part of a growing collaboration between the University of Michigan and imec.
This position will leverage your ability to design and size test structures that can be evaluated and monitored for stress-induced effects on semiconductor dies. You will work closely with customers to understand their requirements and translate them into design specifications. Collaborating with system architects and top-level designers to define chip architectures, you will execute functional and performance verifications on the test structures and communicate out results.
