Sustainability Assessment on Image Sensor Manufacturing

Master projects/internships - Leuven | Just now

Explore the environmental impact by the manufacture of cutting-edge image sensors

While concerted efforts have been made to promote greener Integrated Chip (IC) manufacturing, achieving sustainable practices necessitates a comprehensive understanding of the environmental impacts associated with semiconductor fabrication. With this topic, a life cycle analysis of various image sensor technology will be studied based on bottom-up modeling of a IC fabrication plant. This holistic approach can provide granular results, enables sensitivity analysis, and highlights high-impact processes that could be improved to reduce environmental footprints in existing technologies.
