General Ledger Specialist – Group Accounting 

What you will do

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for multiple entities in accordance with local GAAP. 
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments. 
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. 
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. 
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits. 
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. 
• Support process improvement initiatives and automation projects. 
• Provide financial data and analysis to support business decisions.

Who you are

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
• 3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting, preferably in a multinational or group environment. 
• Strong knowledge of BEGAAP. 
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus). 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools. 
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. 
• Demonstrated ability to check your own work. 
• Able to maintain focus and performance during peak periods. 
• Proficiency in Dutch or the ability to work in a Dutch-speaking environment is preferable.
