ICT Observability Engineer (temporary assignment)
The assignment
- Implement and maintain observability platforms and telemetry pipelines across hybrid environments (cloud and on-premise).
- Instrument systems and applications using OpenTelemetry to collect logs, metrics, and traces.
- Build and optimize dashboards, alerts, and service maps to monitor performance and reliability.
- Support incident analysis and root cause identification through observability data.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and application teams to improve monitoring, automation, and service visibility.
Required knowledge and skills
- Strong experience with observability tools and frameworks (e.g. OpenTelemetry, SigNoz, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Good understanding of monitoring concepts including logs, metrics, traces, and alerting.
- Experience with hybrid and cloud environments (Kubernetes, containers, distributed systems).
- Scripting or automation knowledge (e.g. Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Familiar with ITSM or incident management tools (e.g. ServiceNow) and SLO/SLA/SLI principles.
- Analytical mindset, proactive attitude, and strong communication skills to work across technical teams.
