ICT Specialist – Senior Equipment Integration Software Development

Currently, IMEC has decided to launch a strategic initiative called SmartFab aligned with an Industry 4.0 based ambition for accelerated efficiency gains in both cleanroom operations and research support. As part of this program, we are automating tool operations and creating various integrations across the IT and OT landscape.

What you will do

You will be working in IMEC’s ICT department and support in the SmartFab programme.
For this role, you will: 

  • Establish the processes to manage the lifecycle of a tool integration with the Manufacturing Executing System, our central process control software.
  • Manage the technical steps for tool onboarding and drive greater efficiencies to accelerate onboarding and increase quality, including automation in the lifecycle processes.
  • Work closely with the ICT counterparts managing the MES, the technical team in the production facility and 3rd parties to drive the technical delivery of configurations, packaging and integrations
  • Manage the software delivery plan, including budget and resourcing, to meet the roadmap requirements
  • Elicit and document clear and concise product requirements based on collaboration with stakeholders, including manufacturing, engineering, and business teams. 
  • Work with the Equipment Integration product owner to prioritize and manage the product backlog to maximize value and ensure timely delivery of features. 
  • Adopt Agile methodologies, CI/CD and test automation as much as possible.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance, making data-driven decisions for enhancements. 
  • Work with a project manager to maintain an overview and report-out on the status of the deployments and to manage the roadmap

Who you are

  • You already have several years of experience in ICT in manufacturing system implementations. Your background allows you to quickly familiarize yourself with the semiconductor manufacturing environment and the IT architecture. 
  • You are a quick learner, able to build expertise in topics such as station controller and messages busses quickly and independently. 
  • You are well-versed in software coding languages (e.g. Java) and agile software delivery, with demonstrated ability to drive CI/CD and test automation.
  • You can work independently and in team. With your no-nonsense attitude, you coordinate with the team to get the job done. 
  • Your strong analytic and problem-solving skills enable you to interpret customer requirements and issues. 
  • You have strong communication skills, allowing you to build good relationships with stakeholders from different imec business units and the development partner. 
  • You are persistent and take initiative when needed. 
  • You feel comfortable in a complex and demanding environment.
