As an Internal Shipping Assistant, you play a key role in ensuring the safe, structured, and fully traceable movement of high-value silicon wafers across imec’s warehouse, labs, and cleanroom environment.

Internal Shipping Assistant (WH & IC-Link)

What you will do

  • Move fragile silicon wafers (imec.silicon /Photonics) safely and accurately between the warehouse, labs, and cleanroom
  • Internal /external stakeholder management (silicon photonics teams, labs, warehouse operations, shipment requestors, technical departments, and finance)
  • Prepare and process internal shipping requests with complete and accurate information
  • Ensure every movement is handled in a structured, safe, and fully traceable way
  • Support daily shipping operations, including packing, administration, and stakeholder communication
  • Record shipping data accurately and contribute to operational KPI follow-up

Who you are

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in logistics, shipping, warehouse operations, or a similar operational environment
  • Strong attention to detail and care when handling fragile, high-value materials
  • Ability to work in a structured, safety-focused, and process-driven way
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative, customer-oriented approach
  • Excellent Dutch and a good working knowledge of English
  • Experience with SAP or another ERP system is an asset; knowledge of shipping or customs processes is a plus
