As an Occupational Nurse / Prevention Advisor, you are a key figure in ensuring a safe and healthy working environment. You will combine expertise in well-being at work with medical knowledge to coordinate both preventive and curative actions. You will work closely with the EHS team, the occupational health service and other internal stakeholders.

Occupational nurse / Prevention Advisor  

What you will do

Company nurse: 

  • Carrying out health assessments and follow-up of medical records in collaboration with the prevention advisor-occupational physician of the external service for prevention and protection at work. 
  • Helping to develop and support vaccination campaigns and health actions. 
  • Provide medical support in the event of accidents at work or health incidents. In this context, you are also an active member of the first aid team of imec Leuven. 
  • Identifying trends in health problems and proposing preventive measures. 
  • Acting as a point of contact for employees with health questions. 

Prevention advisor: 

  • Organizing and carrying out company tours in the various branches of our company. 
  • Identifying and evaluating risks in the workplace. 
  • Performing occupational accident analyses. 
  • Cooperate with the external service for prevention and protection at work. 
  • In the context of imec's internationalization, help develop and disseminate the framework for prevention and protection at work in the non-Belgian branches.

Who you are

  • Professional Bachelor or Master in Nursing, with a specialization in occupational nursing (or willing to follow it) supplemented by being a prevention advisor level 2 (or willing to follow it). 
  • Experience in an industrial or research environment is a plus. 
  • Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English and a proactive attitude. 
  • Team player with a great sense of responsibility.
