Imec is looking for an optical proximity correction (OPC) engineer to bolster its R&D endeavors in the computational patterning domain, which encompass high NA EUV, NA0.33 EUV and immersion 193, targeting advanced logic, memory and patterning initiatives.

OPC R&D Engineer

What you will do

  • You'll be part of the OPC team, engaging in computational patterning R&D, including tasks such as high NA EUV OPC and modeling, inverse lithography technology (ILT), and curvilinear OPC. 
  • Your role involves supporting imec's tapeout OPC efforts, encompassing tasks like SMO, OPC recipe creation, OPC model build, CDSEM data collection, and hands-on OPC execution. 
  • Your responsibilities will include providing optimal RET solutions across various projects, evaluating OPC requests through collaboration with imec's patterning and integration teams, and overseeing project management aspects such as resource allocation, milestone tracking, and short- and long-term planning.

Who you are

  • A Master’s degree or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science paired with 1-3 years of relevant industry experience is preferred. Nonetheless, exceptions may be considered for exceptionally talented candidates. 
  • Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments and scripting languages such as Bash, Python and TCL is expected. 
  • Fluent English language skills and effective reporting and communication abilities are necessary. 
  • A collaborative team player with a curious mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
