Program Manager Europractice

Europractice is a European infrastructure that has enabled world-class chip design and prototyping for academia, research institutes, and their spinouts over the last 30 years. Europractice has provided users with a full range of services needed to design and fabricate electronic circuits and smart integrated systems. This includes affordable access to industry-standard design tools, fabrication technologies, training, and full technical support. Since 1995, imec has been the coordinator and strategic lead of the Europractice initiative, which also includes Fraunhofer, UKRI, CIME-P (at Grenoble INP) and Tyndall as partners. In the coming years, Europractice will work towards seamless integration with the EU Chips Design Platform, ensuring that both initiatives complement each other and provide users with a clear pathway from education and research to bringing highly innovative products to the market.

What you will do

  • As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the Europractice consortium and developing the long-term strategy for the initiative.
  • You will be responsible for building partnerships between European foundries and Pilot Lines. You will scout for emerging technologies at these partners, which could be of benefit for the Europractice users.

  • You will be advocating the Europractice services towards European universities and research centres, in particular stimulating entrepreneurship and explaining how Europractice can kickstart spinout companies in their first design journey.
  • You will be contributing to the overall strategy of IC-Link by imec. You will report directly to the Strategic Development Director of the IC-Link sector.
  • You will seek for constant improvements of both the quality and speed of our innovations and services. We will count on you to bring new ideas and help implementing them.
