R&D Team lead sustainability for semiconductor devices

What you will do

As an R&D team leader, you will work on mentoring your team members, help in their professional development and work towards high job satisfaction. Further cultivating the already strong team spirit and extending best practices that can be used by everyone is a very important part of this role. You will also be responsible for the resource planning of the team and make sure that team commitments to various research projects are feasible and within the research interests of the team. This is a dual role, where individual research contributions will be required alongside people management of the sustainability research team.

As a researcher, you will further develop the life cycle assessment (LCA) of existing and potential future CMOS technologies, both to support assessment of the industry’s current environmental impact, and to identify pathways towards sustainability. You will contribute to the improvement of data, models, and/or user functionality of imec.netzero, a parametric bottom-up virtual fab model used for environmental impact assessment. You will combine insights from state-of-the-art LCA and semiconductor technology research to identify new research pathways. You collaborate with both academic and industry partners, and regularly disseminate your work to help the industry reach its sustainability goals.
