As R&D Engineer Litho Process Development you will be a member of the ALP Compute Process Development team, part of the Angstrom Patterning department, and be responsible for the development and optimization of lithography processes requested by IMEC’s CORE programs and internal advanced patterning projects with a focus on backside patterning challenges.

What you will do

  • You are expected to deliver high quality lithography processes for leading edge logic and memory technology platforms that meet module research and manufacturability requirements 
  • Implementing and optimizing overlay control strategies and modeling to ensure the precise alignment of multiple layers and back side alignment during the lithography development process on both 193 immersion DUV and low NA & High NA EUV lithography 
  • You define and execute process, equipment and material development projects with equipment and material suppliers in cross-functional and cross-company teams 
  • Collaborating with researchers & process engineers to develop a deeper understanding of how processes impact overlay control and wafer bonding 
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with other engineering teams, such as integration, etch, CMP to ensure the successful integration of overlay control into the overall semiconductor manufacturing process 
  • Develop and maintain roadmaps for backside integration and process flows

Who you are

  • You have a PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science. 
  • You have experience with semiconductor processing and working in a cleanroom. 
  • Experience with advanced lithography (193nm immersion/EUV) is a plus. 
  • You are well organized and eager to learn. 
  • You have good technical problem-solving skills and are comfortable with multitasking. 
  • You are an excellent communicator and have good reporting skills. 
  • You are fluent in English.
